Vitalitea – Vedic Herbal Tea that Boosts your Health

Vitalitea – Vedic Herbal Tea that Boosts your Health

On my way to the office today, I avoided the normal method of going inside using the lift. Instead, I opted to go through the stairs. Halfway through I almost fainted and panting for breath. Mind you, my office is on the 10th floor. And this was not the first time I was experiencing this. These days, my stamina level has dropped, and I was feeling very weak. A trip to the doctor revealed there were no major illnesses, apart from feeling tired. For the next few days, I tried eating all those iron, calcium, and vitamin tablets referred by the doctor. They helped for sure, but the effect was not consistent. That was when I adopted a healthy lifestyle and improve my health. I wanted to become strong and develop a good immune system. The first step in this process was to cut off caffeine intake. As caffeine is one catalyst for many of our current health issues.

As Indians, we all love coffee or tea very much. Our day does not start without a sip of either tea or coffee. Most people experience a headache or a feeling of uneasiness if they do not take their daily dose of tea. But these days, almost everyone suffers from one or the other illness. The pollution, terrible food habits and lifestyle changes are the major culprits in this. So, people have looked for an alternative for the normal tea or coffee. That was when everybody started using herbal tea and understood their enormous benefits.

I too joined this race and thought of trying out herbal tea to overcome my issues. I started studying about them and found many interesting things. In my opinion, herbal tea is not tea, since it does not have any caffeine content (maybe some have!). Usually, herbal tea comprises leaves, fruit, flower, root, and bark of a herb dipped in hot water. It suits better to call it a decoction or ’tisane’ as Europeans refer to it. In Ayurveda, it is generally referred to as ‘Kashaya’ or ‘Kwath’ or ‘Kashayam’. This is a formulation prepared by boiling herbs in water. The herbs are usually dried and stored to use for a long time. There are many such herbal tea extracts available that can help boost your health. Finding that one product beneficial for you requires some time and effort. After some research, I found a herbal tea that suits all my needs. The name of the tea was ‘Vitalitea’ and after using it for some time I experienced many changes in myself.

What is Vitalitea, and why should I use it?

Vitalitea is a herbal extract with amazing health benefits. This is a beverage that can replace our daily cup of tea or coffee. It is useful in detoxifying our body and reducing stress. It is a great blood purifier and helps keep the urinary system clean. Protecting the body cells, reducing gastritis, improving digestion are few other benefits.

The world right now is not the best place for a human being to live. Because of human greed, the environment is becoming worse every day. Finding a bottle of clean water, pure air, and unadulterated, healthy food has become a dream. Along with this hatred, selfishness and greed amongst people have increased. Most of the population craves to have a healthy body along with a peaceful mind. Herbal extracts have been helping men to achieve this healthy mind and body for ages. Vitalitea is also one such product that can be very beneficial to improve our lifestyle. It has all the components needed to achieve the same. Top 6 tips on using the right Herbal Product

Top 6 tips on using the right Herbal Product

Do you always face some side effects every time you take a pharmaceutical medicine? Will you be in a dilemma about deciding if you should take that tablet on the shelf for a common cold? Is it possible to cure these simple problems without having the fear of side effects? I am sure most of us have similar questions running in our minds every time we get sick. The answer is switching to using herbal medicine or herbal products. But how to choose the right herbal product?

Herbals or herbal products have been around for many years now. But recently they are becoming more popular as alternative medicine. People are trying to avoid the use of pharmaceutical medicine. I am sure you have heard a lot about herbal products and their benefits. After doing some research and receiving a few pieces of advice, you would have tried it. But the crucial question is how will you choose the right product for you? And how will you find out who is an authentic herbal product manufacturer? With so many brands and different varieties of products, I know it can be very confusing. The sole purpose of this article is to help you in making this decision.

As you know, we have been using herbs as medicine for a long time. But the way it was being consumed differed from today. It became side-lined once conventional pharmaceuticals entered the picture. But now people realize the importance of using herbs and spices in their daily lives. They are willing to explore more about alternative medicine. Herbs and herbal products are being used more and more again. But before you jump into using these products, have a look at the precautions you need to take.  It’s better to be safe than sorry.

1) Do proper research:

Before you decide on using any herbal product, it is important to determine your body type first. Though herbs do not cause any side effects, it is important to find out what herbs suit you. Not all herbs can do wonders on your body. It may vary from person to person. A herb that was very effective to one person may not work to another. One part of a plant may not be as effective to your body compared to the other parts. For example, the root of a herb may have a different reaction to your body compared to a leaf or a fruit. Also, you may be allergic to the compounds present in a few herbs. Consult a medical practitioner if you are buying these products for major illnesses. If you are already taking some medicine and then use herbs together with them, it may be risky. Experts say not to use both pharmaceutical and herbal medicine together. If the herbal product is being used for general health care, it’s fine to use both together. But not if you are planning to use it to cure a major illness. Your health is in your hands so before deciding to buy invest some time to research them.

2) Read the product information on the label:

It is mandatory for a product manufacturer to print details of the product in its label. Ingredients used information on artificial colors, preservatives are few such details. Ideally, a herbal product should not contain any artificial coloring and preservatives. But not all companies follow rules, right? The label should also contain the date of manufacture and expiry. It might also have the weight of the content and place of manufacture. These are a few mandatory details that should be present on the label all the time. Most of us have a habit of checking the product label before buying. Hence, I hope remembering this point won’t be difficult. If you don’t have the habit, it’s better you check the labels now.

3) Check the details on the herbal formula used in the product:

We all know that one herb or a spice contains so many benefits. There are many products that are being prepared using a single type of herb. But many others contain a combination of different herbs. It is always important to check the ingredients used in the product before buying them. We must know the amount of each ingredient used, and how well they blend with each other. If the product is being made from a single herb, check the compounds present in it. Checking the details to know the proportion of each ingredient used is important. If it is not present in the label, ask the product manufacturer for the details. Few ingredients when mixed with another might not go well to your body. There are cases where they have become toxic when combined with each other. Or there might be herbs unsafe for people with certain medical conditions. Few herbs don’t go well with pregnant and breastfeeding women. So, before you decide, do a thorough check on the ingredients used.

4) The way the plants are grown:

You might wonder what’s there to check about how the herbs are grown. But it’s not as simple as saying “Oh, well, Plants are grown in soil”. We need to check in the product’s label for any details about how the plant is grown and harvested. If those details are not present in the label, you can talk with the product manufacturer to provide it. I always recommend using products grown organically. Also, we should not bombard the herbs with lots of pesticides too. Chemical-free agriculture is a trend nowadays. Natural, organic, and pesticide-free plants are the best ones out there. While using medicinal plants, it is even more important. The way the herbs are being harvested and stored is something that we ignore most of the time. Good product manufacturers give importance on the right method of harvesting and storing. So, if you are planning to buy herbals, check with them on the method they follow. Check if the product is a recent preparation and the herbs inside are fresh. I mean, even if they are dry, powdered herbs, it should be fresh and stored well. Using old and spoilt herbs might pose a major risk to health.

5) Consult a professional in the field before buying:

Switching to alternative medicine has many benefits. But if it is not done right, it may cause several issues. So, it is always suggested to talk with a professional in herbals before switching. They can give you proper advice on which herbs to use and what are its effects on the body. On a side note, you can also get contacts of authentic herbal product manufacturers from them. With so many companies around, it’s tough to decide between fake and real ones. A professional can help you with this. They can also help you in deciding the dosage of the medicine and how one should store or consume it. There is a specific time at which we must consume a few herbs. An expert in the field can give you a suggestion on these details.

6) Do not get swayed by the product price:

This is one of the most common mistakes many people make. Do not buy a product because it’s sold for a lesser price than others in the same category. Check for the brand name of the product before buying them. Don’t let the attractive discounts offered on the product change your opinion.  See if they are claiming a miracle to happen if you consume their product. Most of the time the miracle won’t come true. A brand that assures realistic effects on using their products is more trustworthy. Also, check if it’s a certified product. All herbal products should have a certified seal by the respective governing body.

We are living in an era of the internet. We get so many good and bad influences from it. Choosing an authentic herbal product manufacturer is a very tiresome task. There are many fake companies that look so real, making it difficult to distinguish. It has become easy for them to target an innocent consumer for their benefits. Don’t get swayed by seeing the term ‘natural’ and ‘organic’.  Not all so-called natural products are authentic products. There are many fake players in the field trying hard to cheat people. I hope the few tips that I suggested would help you in making this task easier.

There are many herbal products that are genuine and trustworthy too. They consider all the above points in their product preparation. I recommend trying out a cup of Vitalitea which has many ingredients beneficial to your body. They follow all the safety standards in their product preparation. And committed to always provide the best to the customer. Improve your health and fitness while enjoying the delicious tea.

6 Strong Reasons to adopt Herbal Lifestyle

6 Strong Reasons to adopt Herbal Lifestyle

Reasons to adopt Herbal Lifestyle

Are you the kind of cook who uses a lot of spices and herbs in your daily dishes? Did you know there are so many health benefits if you use them daily? If your answer is no, then this is the right article for you. I have tried to explain why we need to use those herbs and spices more and more in our cooking. If you have not yet started using them, then it’s time to refill your kitchen cabinet with those items.

I know for sure most of you have been using basil leaves, turmeric, ginger, and many such herbs and spices daily. These have been an integral part of our culinary and medicinal use for many centuries. Don’t you remember your mother and grandmother telling you to use them daily? Though we didn’t know their hidden benefits, we still use them. Now researchers are trying to find their health merits and prove the medicinal value of them. People all around the world are understanding the advantages of using them. They are adopting the usage of herbs and spices in their daily life.

I am a strong advocate of herbal and Ayurvedic lifestyle. Hence, I am often asked many questions about the reason behind following this regime. I try to make them understand the points below.

  1. Taking care of body health is important to have a healthy mind.
  2. Herbs and few spices are great skin and hair care products (natural products).
  3. If you are a food lover, you might already know that they offer great flavors for our palate.
  4. They help in improving memory, cognition skills, and boost your brain.
  5. Have a very positive impact on the environment.
  6. Little or no side effects (important point) and very much cost-effective.

Health is wealth (at any point in life!!!):

A great man once said – “A healthy mind resides in a healthy body”, but having a healthy body is a tough task in today’s world. I know it’s easier said than done. But it’s never too late to be serious about your health and take care of it. Your daily lifestyle plays a major role in maintaining your body and mind. Eating and sleeping habits, exercises, hobbies, etc. play an important role in this. Since time immemorial, our ancestors have used a lot of herbs and spices in the food they prepared daily. Herbs were being used as a medicine for small babies. It helped to improve their immunity, memory, and strength. The antioxidant properties of herbs and spices are very well known. Several types of biomedical research are being done currently focusing on exploring the anti-inflammatory, cancer-fighting constituents of herbs and spices. The Ayurvedic medicinal system of India uses these herbs for many purposes. Few treatments include healing wounds, gastrointestinal issues, deworming, and rheumatic disorders. They also help increase detoxifying enzymes, decrease tumor formation, improve DNA repair, etc.

As a great cosmetic product:

Have you all seen the word “herbal” in front of beauty salons? It has been a common practice to use such words for beauty and cosmetic products for quite some time now. Herbs have been used in skin and hair care products by many companies for the last few decades. They help in enhancing the beauty and maintaining them. Indian women have been using sandalwood, turmeric, henna, and shikakai to take care of their skin and hair for a long time. Ayurveda uses herbs and oil extracts for massaging the body and beauty treatments. These products are generally known as “herbal cosmetics”. They help in beautifying the skin and prevent the occurrence of any skin diseases in the future. We all know that long-time exposure of skin to chemicals, pollutants, and heat can cause skin issues. Dehydrated skin, sunburns, pigmentation, early aging, wrinkles, freckles, are a few examples. You can avoid these issues by using herbal products regularly.

 To make the food delicious:

Using spices in day-to-day cooking is a common practice in every Indian household. As you know a lot of our dishes end with a ‘tadka’ of basil leaves before serving them. Many people believe that spices are used to reduce the amount of salt in dishes, but that’s not true. Rather, spices add a unique flavor to your dish. They blend so well with almost all other ingredients, so it does not stand out as a single flavor. And as you think it’s not true, that spices are suitable only for non-sweet recipes. Certain sweet dishes also use these spices to give them that distinctive flavor. They are being used instead of less healthy ingredients like fats and salt. Herbs are used as a seasoning to certain dishes or there are many recipes prepared only by using herbs. They have proven to be successful both as a stand-alone dish or as a seasoning. We must be careful while using herbs and spices as an excess of either of them can ruin the original taste of the dish.

Helps improve your brain health:

How many times have you forgotten your wallet at home before leaving for office? Or do you look around for a calculator for calculating money at a grocery store? Most of us would answer yes to these questions. Our brain is a wonderful organ that works almost 24 hours a day. But it can perform well only when it is healthy and active. Many of the customs and traditions in India usually aim at improving the efficiency of our brains. We feed new-born babies with few medicinal extracts from herbs after six months of age. It helps in improving memory and immunity at a very young age. Extensive research is being conducted to prove the benefits of these ancient practices. Many of these herbs help improve reasoning skills. Also, they have a positive effect on diseases like Alzheimer’s (loss of memory). Using a few chunks of these herbs and spices in our daily food helps improve focus and control stress. Studies have shown that few elements present in spices like turmeric can help brain cells to self-repair. These were a few examples of uses of herbs in improving brain health. There are many such herbs that are not known yet to most people. Exploring them and studying them helps us and even our kids in the future.

Teaches us to coexist with nature: Herbs are a part of nature. The plants in your backyard, which you think are weeds, might help to improve the air quality in your neighborhood. They increase biodiversity in the ecosystem. Humans have been using herbs for their medicinal benefits for ages. Different parts of the world had their own way of using these herbs. This has resulted in cultural uniqueness amongst communities. Few studies have shown that pharmaceuticals are the reason for the accumulation of 4 million tonnes of carbon dioxide every year. In contrast to this herbal medicine contributes to better health of the planet. It helps increase the oxygen content in the atmosphere. They help to remove allergy causing germs from the air and hence very beneficial for allergy-prone kids or elders. Few types of herbs even prevent the growth of the unwanted weeds in your backyard. So next time you visit any medicinal plant nursery, get all those herbs, and grow them in your backyard. Even if you don’t end up using them for medicinal use, growing them won’t create any harm to you or your next generation.

Cost-effective and fewer side effects:

If you had visited any lavish skincare clinic or modern specialty hospital, you would have understood that one visit to them will create a hole in your pocket. And most of the medicines prescribed will have one or the other side effects. If you take medicine for body pain, you will get skin allergy and vice versa. Compared to the modern pharmaceutical industry, herbs and spices have very few or sometimes zero side effects. Most of these herbs are grown in the backyard and available all the time. This is one reason herbal products are available at reasonably lesser prices as compared to other cosmetic products. There might be few products which are a little expensive. But that is because they contain certain herbs which are rarely available in nature. But most of the products do not become a burden to our pocket.

So, are you ready to try out herbal products now? If yes, here is a list of herbs and spices available in our backyard or in our kitchen cabinet. Even if you are still not sure about moving to a herbal lifestyle, reading this list helps. You will be surprised to see that many of these items are very commonly used in our daily life.

  1. Turmeric
  2. Basil leaves
  3. Cinnamon
  4. Garlic
  5. Ginger
  6. Cardamom
  7. Asafoetida
  8. Coriander
  9. Cloves
  10. Fenugreek

This list has ten such herbs and spices. There are many more out there which I will explain in my next article – powerful herbs to boost the immune system.
